An early colour postcard depicting the Indian Lounge at the Winter Gardens Complex, Blackpool. The Indian Lounge was situated next to the Empress Ballroom and was one of the earlier rooms to be constructed within the Winter Gardens Complex, in Blackpool.

In 1964 the Indian Lounge was converted into a Cabaret space which was a Lounge bar with a small stage at one end and called the Planet Room. This was later converted into a new space in 1989, designed in a Roman Style and called the Arena.

The Arena is very adaptable and can accommodate 300 as a Banqueting Hall, 220 as a Dinner and Dance Hall, 1,200 as a Concert Hall, or 400 as a theatrical space.
