Above - The Baronial Hall at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool - From a 1938 programme for the Winter Gardens Complex. Caption Reads: - 'THE BARONIAL HALL (from Fortunino Matania's Original Painting). This stately Winter Gardens hall with its gnarled oak beams and rare tapestries belongs to the courtly days of Good Queen Bess and Sir Walter Raleigh. Doubtless a visit to Blackpool is not complete without partaking of dinner or supper followed by tripping a measure on the light fantastic toe in surroundings of such regal charm. A costume ball of the Tudor period of the hall has captured the artist's fancy and provides a picture of sheer delight.

The Baronial Hall is situated within the Winter Gardens Complex in Blackpool and was part of an upgrading of the complex completed in the early 1930s. The Baronial Hall opened in May 1931 along with the Spanish Hall, the Ye Galleon bar, the Renaissance Restaurant, and the Windsor Bar. The Floral Hall was also refurbished at the same time and had a lounge bar added.

The Baronial Hall is situated next to the Spanish Hall and replaced the former Victoria Hall which was situated above the Victoria Street entrance. The Baronial Hall was designed as a medieval style banqueting hall by Andrew Mazzei and features what looks like dark oak paneling and beams, but is in reality just cleverly created plasterwork.

Today the Hall is used for dining and wedding receptions and the like and can be used on its own or as an extension to the Spanish Hall.
